Already Have Your Driving Test Booked?

If your test is already booked, don’t panic if your instructor is no longer available.

We understand that having your driving test booked is a significant milestone, and it’s frustrating when your instructor lets you down at the last minute. If you find yourself in this situation, please know that we are here to support you. Your success on test day is important to us, and we want to ensure you have the best chance to perform at your best.

You may have spent months preparing for your driving test and do not want to lose your test date simply because you no longer have access to your instructor’s vehicle. We can discuss your situation and, where suitable, arrange an assessment and test-day support.

We recommend contacting us as early as possible. This gives you time to become familiar with the vehicle and allows us to make sure everything is arranged for your test day.

A Car and Instructor for Your Test Day

You don’t necessarily need to start your driving lessons again just because your original instructor is unavailable. If you have been properly prepared and feel ready for your test, we can by suppoorting you hire a suitable driving school car and an experienced instructor to accompany you.

Before agreeing to provide a vehicle for your test, we will need to make sure that you are comfortable driving the vehicle you have / hire and that you are at an appropriate standard to undertake the test safely.

What Is Included?

Our driving test day service can include:

• Arrangement of a suitable car for your practical driving test
• Familiarisation with the vehicle before your test
• A pre-test assessment
• Additional driving lessons where required
• Travel to the test centre
• An experienced driving instructor accompanying you
• Time to settle into the vehicle before your test
• Support and guidance before your test begins

The exact arrangements will depend on your circumstances, your test centre and your previous driving experience.

Test Day Confidence

Driving a different car from the one you have learned in can feel daunting, particularly on the morning of your practical test. This is why familiarisation is important.

Our aim is to make the change as straightforward as possible. We will help you become comfortable with the controls and give you time to adjust to the vehicle before the test.

You should already have received appropriate driving instruction and be capable of driving safely and independently. Our test-day service is not intended to replace the training you would normally receive from a driving instructor.

Driver Risk Assessment

At Laugh’n’ Pass Angels Driving School, we take a learners safety seriously. you will be required to take a 2 hour risk assessment. We will not simply lend a vehicle for the test. The purpose of the risk assessment is to ensure that you have been properly prepared for the conditions you may encounter. As your driving will involve managing hazards such as junctions, roundabouts, pedestrians, cyclists, other road users, changing weather and unfamiliar roads, we will assess how you deal with thoses and how you observe, anticipate, manage speed control and how you make the right decisions to deal with these risks safely and confidently.
