What is a franchise?
A franchise is a right granted to an individual to market a company's goods or services within a certain location. Some examples of today's popular franchises are McDonald's, Subway, and Domino's Pizza. The franchisee must follow certain rules and guidelines already established by the franchisor, and in most cases the franchisee must pay an upfront fee plus ongoing franchise royalty fees.
Many Driving Instructors believe that a 'franchise driving school' is only good for one thing 'Providing new pupils' and this myth is incorrect...think about it. Does MaDonalds franchisor provide the customers to all there franchisee branches ? No, each branch finds their own customers, and regardless as to the takings they make they still have to pay the royaties.
When Instructors diaries start to dry up they immediatly think to join a school. Why is this? Driving Schools do not have pupils on tap.. There is so much competion for driving instructors these days, and from experience we have found that a large percentage of instructors don't realise that they need guidance from a larger company.
