That they are approved by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) -

You will be surprised to know that there are many Driving Instructors working without a licence to teach. This could be because they never renewed the licence, were reused a licence,recently failed to qualify.

Only driving instructors that display a badge in the windscreen are allowed to charge for giving driving tuition - if it is not displayed in the window ask to see it and notice expiry date. By law you do not have to pay the instructor if the badge is not displayed!!!

Licence to teach - their are 2 badge colours

• Green (fully Qualified Instructors)
• Pink (part Trained Driving Instructor)

You can be assured that all of our part trained instructors and we do not have many are monitored and supported. it is only a formality in them sitting the final exam, unlike some other schools that do not support their instructors thus they give poor quality driving lessons.

A good instructor will

• Ask you lots of questions
• Be knowledgeable & skilful and above all in control of the vehicle
• Know the roads you are driving in
• Be approachable and easy to get along with
• Have the relevant licence to teach
• Have a space that you can take each week
• Have a sense of humour

Spending Too Long Calling Around?

How many calls or clicks have you made already - You can shop around till you drop. Prices will vary but the weekly regular prices will be all around the same. Generally your 1st telephone call to a school will give you an idea as to whether you will get along - Ask yourself how helpful were they, was it easy to have a conversation?
